A couple of questions for Bill.

I have been reading your series and it seems you have gone a long way on you bike with the "don't fix it if it ain't broke" method and it seems to have pretty much worked. I read to part about the speed-o cable and was wondering about the other cables. How often did you lube the clutch and throttle cables and what did you use? How often did you lube the wheel bearings.

I was 50 when I bought my Ninja last year and will likely be your age when the bike gets up to 100,000 miles if one of us does not give out first. I started riding in 1969 as sort of a happy circumstance. I was looking for a motorcycle engine to install on a go-cart or mini-bike back then so I was visiting motorcycle shops trying to locate an engine. At one shop I visited the owner said he had something for me to see. It was a Moto Morini motorcycle that he would sell to me for $60. It was a wonderful bike to start out on and at a great price.
