The track bike build continues        

Today I decided I need to put some time in on the angry hornet. So far, I've done the following:

Stripped the bike
Swapped the stator cover for one from an 06 (swapped right in - thanks Wes)
Cleaned the carbs
Flushed the tank
Swapped in a GSXR shock
installed my race exhaust
Fabbed (mostly) a new battery box bracket

For anyone debating about doing the GSXR (or similar piggyback shock) mod, don't do it. Unless you have a LOT of time or free access to a machine shop to do the requisite grinding and cutting to make it fit. I happen to have time and a decent amount of tools to choose from, so I did it. I have no idea how it will ride, but I'm hoping it will be nice. If not, I can always swap in my WP shock for track days. There's still a lot of work to do before I can even start the engine, but here are some pics:
