I guess, it depends on speed and how tight the corner is        

I didn't feel any need to drag a knee but eventually, on the second or third track day, I worked the setup I had, all the way to the sidestand mounting plate (centerstand was off) and exhaust header. And that was scary like hell as it lifted the rear wheel off the ground. I probably could improve my race line and body positioning, but one mistake and you are done. With better suspension and no centerstand/sidestand - the bike feels much better. I can take the same corners more comfortably at higher speeds.
