|gaining experience |
I have ridden in all weather conditions and it's a challenge, especially if you don't have the proper gear. This past season on my way to N.C. coast it was an awesome ride til I hit the N.C. border, then the heavens opened up. Lucky it was hot out anyway, so gear wasn't an issue, just watching out for the cagers sucked.
I must have rode 2+hrs like that, driving in and out of the rain, lucky it stopped just before sundown.
My worst experience was winter and there was a fog, that turned everything to ice, I made it home, but I was wore out, no fun at all.
It's good to ride in the elements just to gain the experience, in case your accidentally caught out in them.
I ride year-round as long as I have good traction, and the bike starts.
