How long does it take?

Background: Went to rude the bike after about a month and wouldn't start.

One can easily prove this evaporation theory by allowing a properly running and well tuned bike to sit for up to 30 days, depending on average daily temps. Attempt a start for 5-6 seconds, twice for good measure. If no start, then perform my previously detailed vacuum simulation on the fuel valve and attempt another start. Or, one could for the sake of science, leave a fuel-proof container roughly the size of a carb bowl with roughly the amount of the fuel in the float bowl, with a top and a vent about the size of the carb vent tube, safely sitting out of the way and make daily checks for evap rate.
I have had to perform this technique on my Ninja, as well as my '88 Magna V4 and my "01 Suzuki DR Z400 several times each, as they sit unattended while one gets ridden.
