From what you described, new clutch cable is not going to help        

'Cause there is no problem. It's a wet clutch. Unless your current cable has excessive freeplay that you cannot remove - cable origins don't matter. It's just a cable.

Also note that you must maintain some freeplay otherwise you are going to burn the clutch... Do you understand how wet clutch works?
