Problem

If you got fluid out of the inspection port of the engine that smelled like gas, you have a leaky petcock on the fuel tank and a leaky needle valve in at leas tone of the carbs. The gas is going past your rings and filling your crankcase. This often leads to a hydraulic lock of the cylinder. Drain the oil, fix the fuel leaks and they see how it starts. You can bend a rod trying to turn the motor over with a hydraulic lock.
