| Fuel tank knocks and sounds like metal shards shaking inside?? |
Yesterday, I added MOTUL 10w40 Mineral Oil to my ninja 250. I just hit 3000 miles and the oil was really low. I took it to the dealer at 1200 miles and they did a full service then. The dealer had added Kawasaki 10w40 petroleum oil, so I just added the MOTUL oil on top of it.
Today while driving on the freeway, I noticed some strange sounds in the fuel tank, kind of like the sound of small metal particles twirling around in the fuel tank. Is this "knocking?"
Any ideas what this could be? Could it be that I overfilled? I put the bike on its center stand and filled it to just about 70% of the window.
