MotoGP machines cost about 3.5 million for a season, while a SBK machine MIGHT go into the hundred thousands. The reason MotoGP bikes are so expensive is that everything, even the bolts, are prototype. Nothing could have been used on street variants. However, SBK machines are street bikes heavily modified. Also, MotoGP machines are 800cc while SBK are usually 1000cc(give or take a few). The fastest recorded GP time for the week was 1.40.090.
