Yeah, too hot. I don't ride much through the summers here.
Just not enjoyable in the heat and humidity here. But like winters out in the Rockies, there are always good days that sneak up once in a blue moon (seems like after a BIG storm rolls through we get a reprieve from the humidity for a day or two).
As for storing bikes, they have a big street-racing thing going on up there. Sportbikes with stretched swingarms, turbos, "NOS", etc... not like they have much use outside of those limited engagements.

Off season because it's too hot?
I work with a couple Harley riders that are extremely fair weather. "It's too hot. It's too cold. Riding to work isn't really my thing." Why do you own bikes again?
I never even thought of storing a bike just for the gatherings. That'd be like a vacation home.

You know it's "off" season down here now....
And for Hilton Head? They may be storing bikes for the guys who just come down to the big gatherings and would rather pay storage than trailer it back and forth.

Indoor storage business
"We are offering indoor storage for motorcycles. Bikes will have batteries on trickle charge, and moved and started every two weeks. Building is insured. Call for information."
Interesting idea. There are two goofs here though.
1. Why are they advertising this in June?!
2. They'll start the bikes every two weeks.
