Glad it was a low-side. I would've managed to high-side in that situation :)

Great to hear from you!
This place sees very little traffic nowadays, most people moved on, and the bike is not in production anymore... but a few of us are still hanging around.

Still kicking
Hello, all. I haven't posted in a VERY long time. I've still got my 2004 Ninja 250 - replacement for my 2007 Ninja 250, which was a replacement for my 2007 Ninja 500. Badly behaved drivers in cars caused the turnover in motorcycles through the years.
There IS one accident for which blame falls entirely upon me. In 2015, on a coast-to-coast-to-coast ride, in the Hill Country of Texas, I crested a hill during a night thunderstorm and discovered a wreck in the road ahead. I braked, too enthusiastically, and had a low-side. My fault for coming over that crest too fast. But the bike was ride-able and I went on to complete the 7000-mile ride.
I'm retired now, and I ride occasionally just to keep the skills at least a little bit intact. It's still a pleasure. I've owned faster bikes in the meantime, but none of them were more fun than the 250. I don't see myself giving it up, ever.
