For those who've been following the ride of Leon Begeman on the Team Rubbermaid Ninja 250, I just saw photos of him pulling
into Missoula. Last I heard he was on his 10th consecutive 1,000-mile day. Next time, I think Kneebone is going to have to re-think
who he puts in the Hopeless Class.Wink

that about 50% of the traffic on the list in the last 2 hours has concerned Leon! I think everybody's getting as big a kick out of it as we are.

LDriders (long distance). Do a SS1000 (or a rally) and then Joe Denton who runs it should let you subscribe. Heck, if you ask nicely, and pretend you don't know Andrew, he might let you subscribe anyway!

The Andrew comment.. I take it that's related to the "Team Silly Chatterboxes" (or whatever it was) I spotted scrawled on the side of his Connie the other night? :)

Do they have a web archive? I can seem to find one.

no, they keep it pretty exclusive. I had to basically "prove" who I was (and what I'd done; i.e. my SS1000) before they (he actually, Joe Denton) let me subscribe. And yeah, Team Chatty Morons is kind of a play on it. I've probably violated the "insider" spirit of the thing already by passing along the stuff I have, but I think it's stuff you guys would like to see, cuz' I know I think it's cool.

Hey, you can always post as "Anonymous Squid". I'll even clean up the IP log files after you. ;)

And, FWIW, I think it's cool too.

Bay Area Riders Forum ;)

"Leon Begeman currently sits in 26th place of over 100 entrants in the Iron Butt Rally. He's riding a Kawasaki Ninja 250.

Seven days. 6,758 miles.

Ow. I'm not worthy."

=======

"Now these folks are riders!!

I couldn't relate to what they're doing. I've been across the states in a car in 3 days flat and that was a feat as far as I'm concerned. But that doesn't hold a candle in the wind to what they are up to....

The logistics are what I think about when I think about these folks. One ill planned item and you're down and out.

I wonder if they see pink elephants in the middle of the road sometimes?!"

=======

"10 days, 10,000 miles...

It would take me about 8 months, and my butt is already sored."

=======

"Jesus! I thought I rode a lot, but compared to these guys I'm a freaking poser. "

=======

about Leons chain problems:

"No kidding... See he doesn't have to clean his chain every 500 miles

of course, he does seem to need to change it every 10 days..."

=======

"Amazing, Incredible and Awe inspiring!"
