Wow dude, sorry to hear that about your accident. I don't know the whole story with Law Tigers, but I can tell you they did a solid with my bro in law's case---a big win. Every accident is different. Ride friendly bro.

It's a shame you are learning them the hard way but then again, lessons tend to stick better that way. And what about your motorcycle insurance? You should be going through that and get what help you can from there.

You said you were run over in a parking lot. It depends on the parking lot but many lots have surveillance cameras. I strongly recommend you looking into that as you have no witnesses and you didn't file a report. And what injuries did you sustain to see 2 docs, 3x a week for four months? That sounds excessive to me (coming off a recent accident myself). How fast were you both going through this lot?

The accident may not have been your fault but you made the next mistakes - not filing the report and not reading the contract. I have to agree with Marylin here - you are the perfect target.

Btw, this is going to sound harsh but the best sex on earth isn't worth being a dumbass for. Your profile states you're 19 so the sooner you learn that lesson, the better your life will be in many regards.

Edit: I am not trying to be cruel. I am sorry you were injured. I know how traumatic a motorcycle accident can be. Many people on this board can relate. I just hope that you will come away from this a wiser person. My circumstances were very different but I am making sure I take my lessons learned to heart as I hope you do lest you be doomed to repeat them.

I will leave this purposefully vague to avoid embarrassment to those concerned but when asked for advice I suggested looking on Google I was then asked "But how will I know which find is relevant" This is a stretch of the "I ask you for help and you oblige and therefore it now becomes your problem" ploy.

There's this great website that allows you to look up just about anything.
You should give it a try:

I am not a lawyer, but:

While you are responsible for reading everything you sign, it can sometimes be argued that certain contracts are the kind of thing nobody bothers to read anyway, especially if the content of the contract is communicated verbally in good faith. While it would be difficult to prove that you were forced to sign anything (ie, don't bother trying to take it to court without a videotape of you being rushed), you might try writing a letter to the state bar association (in your most formal English) describing the situation. You can't prove what was said to you, but enough complaints of unethical counsel can result in investigation or disbarring of a lawyer. With a name like "Law Tigers," the practice may already be recognized as cut-rate sleazeballs by the bar, with members looking for an excuse to investigate them.

Look over all the paperwork you have very carefully, see what it says.

Also, you can negotiate medical bills WAY down. Don't pay more than half of what they bill, because insurance wouldn't.

The point is they should have told me from day one that they would not be able to get any kind of settlement out of it. I was run over by a car in a parking lot. They are very hard to get a hold of when you have questions. They are very dishonest. And will screw you if they face a small challenge. They are suppose to be the attorney, not me, so why did they expect me to decide if I had a case or not? They will take any case offered to them, then after the "investigation" which takes about 5 months, they decide if they really want to take it. Stringing you along the whole way.

All I'm saying is go to a good lawyer if you get hit. There are non-scum bag attorneys out there. Law Tigers have scumbag written all over them.

No report because I was stupid. I should have called them, but I was kind of in a hurry to go pick up a girl and my second brain was thinking.

There is, and I was very rushed to sign EVERYTHING. He never gave me time to read anything. This should have been my first sign.

 Subject: a couple of questions

1) no police report? there is no excuse for this...ever

2) contract? if you hired a lawyer, there will be a contract with everything in writing

Sorry to hear you are in a pickle. Good luck dealing with this.

 Subject: Avoid the Law Tigers!

I was hit by a car last July, in an accident that was clearly his fault. I called the Law Tigers and they started my case that Monday. From day 1 they knew three things about my case 1) there was no Police report. 2) there were no 3rd party witnesses and 3) the other guy was going to blame me. Now I understand how this sounds, nothing to prove fault except my bias story. But they took my case. I was injured in the accident so I was seeing 2 doctors 3 times a week for 4 months after the accident. They were both doctors hired by the Law Tigers, that I didn't choose, and I didn't know I would have to pay for myself if I lost the case. They made it out that if for what ever reason we lost the case THEY would pay the doctors.

It's been 6 months since the accident and I got a letter on Friday night from the Law Tigers. In this letter they explained how because of a lack of evidence to prove liability they had decided to drop my case. So at first I was just a little irritated that I wasn't going to be re-reimbursed for the cost of fixing my bike. On Monday when I called them to see exactly what changed in the exact same case over the past 6 months they informed me that they were going to send me the doctors bills. Which come to a grand total of over $5k. OK lets review. Six months ago I told them 1) no Police report 2) no witnesses 3) he's going to blame me, and they took my case with "100% confidence". Friday they knew 1) no Police report 2) no witnesses 3) he blamed me, and they cut and ran.

Just for the final blow. I'm a full time college student that works 7 days a week to make rent and my bike payment. I now have to come up with $300 more each month just to pay my bills. I think I'll just skip out on eating for the next few years to get my shit paid.

The moral of the story, don't trust the Law Tigers.
