I originally said that I was in, but because I never got a change to adjust my valves, I would rather not chance seriously damaging something more.

Does bike idle fine when cold? When hot? If all those are fine, and you have less than 10K miles after last adj, in my experience -- there is nothing to worry about. But it is your bike, of course Wink

the forcast calls for 100% chance of precip. so it doesnt look very promising anyway...

Idling when cold is a little off, warm is fine. The cold idling I've read here could be attributable to using pods and a muzzys. The problem is there is a ton of power loss, possibly because of very dirty filters... or the valves being way out of spec. I don't know when the last adjustment was; bought the bike at 1800 and it now has 9600 on it now, without an adjustment yet. If cleaning the filters works to resolve the power issue, then I'll reconsider the ride.

Hi guys - I saw this a little late. My wife and I are trying to put as many miles on the '05 as quickly as possible so we can go out for rides - only 200 on the odo right now but we'll have it 'up there' by the time riding season hits us. She'll be in the 250 but I'll tag along in the klr650...
see ya'll out there,
john
