Great looking fighter, I will be making mine into one soon, as I've been getting too involved with track days on my 6, and really want something fun to put around on the streets with! More photos from rear, or any advice as yours looks great and is what I'm looking to do with mine, give or take!

what pod filters did you use and how long did it take you to remove everything/hide all the electrical components?

Its actually JB weld as the bond is a bit more permanent than bondo especially if it gets soaked with fuel but yes , same principal. I actually need a new tank so I may play with shaping the next one to better accent the way that the new rear of the frame will look.

Flatistanian, did you grind & bondo the upper fairing mounts on the tank? it looks much cleaner that way. I've been thinking of adding mini fairings to the tank to cover the holes. but I do like how clean your tank looks, I may have to do that.

"A lot of riders simply adjust until the light startles oncoming drivers--and then back off a half turn"

that's exactly how I did it. Now that I know how to actually aim my headlights, I won't annoy as many people. thanks Bokonon

I made a tray that goes under the tank. It holds the fuse box and the ignition box. If you would like I can post a couple of pics as well as where I was able to "fit" the starter solenoid and voltage reg.

I had a feeling you just pimped it out... it looks great, love the holes. Sounds like parts weren't too hard to source and the outcome is fantastic, what might the next transformation be Very Happy ? I notice you didn't keep the chromed swingarm cap, not going to sand it down and get it painted that lovely mate black that everything else displays?

I wouldn't say Canada is too far away, I dont think Florida is too far away! Heck, probably end up down there by the end of the summer, who knows - you might end up on the northern side of the continent by then!

Cheers,

Up here thats a very quick way to impound your bike ... Anything showing near the front sprocket and the cops go crazy, definitely dont ride north of the border if your in the States. Or is it just a really cool cover ...?

Incredible looking bike though, were did you find that headlight? Love how you kept the grab handle!

Canada? That would be quite a distance to travel as I live in Florida but man...Impounded for not having a sprocket cover is harsh!. Smile Actually that is the stock front sprocket cover but it has been cut and drilled. Nothing is actually exposed in the front. the rear guard has been removed though. The headlight is from Ebay as are the Cafe light ears. It is going through another transformation soon. I will start my own thread here and update.

Hey Cradle.. Dig the flat black on your bike and the dual light setup. Sorry for the threadjacking.

Since you haven't been posting much, I was hoping you hadn't given up Razz

It looks very much like a standard bike - a look that I really like. I'm looking forward to seeing better pictures. I like the mirrors. Can you see anything with those headlights?

I'd say it needs a few splashes of color. Here:

And how is the 'new' job going, while we're at it? Don't be such a stranger, pardner.
