You posted some random, Pointless, one-liner that was stupid (no, not funny.. it was just dumb, though I can see that you were working REALLY hard to Try to be funny... don't do that, you suck at it), and someone moved it to the trash bin. Tough.

This board is the best one I've come across so far. If you want to see what one looks like when the mods stay out of it go to valkyrieforums.com. They allow political and religious posts and it gets really ugly. And talk about cliques, there are people on there that want to enable something so they never have to see that someone they don't like has posted. You would think that a lot of those people are in middle school by their attitude and behaviour but the avereage age is around 50 or 55. The only time the moderators get involved here is when they really need to.

this placed is the most over-moderated and clique-ish board I have ever seen. absolutely no humor what so ever. Yes I know you'll ban me with this thread. But you moderators are ridiculous with how you police this site. good lord.

many of us like it this way - you can go to other forums for a wider view of 2--wheeled riding

come on though- there's no difference in what I posted and someone posting "these have to stop following me home" and with a pic of a bunch of keys. hardy har freakin har.

I don't think calling you a prick is really whining btw- more of a statement of empirical fact.

Subject: Ive always kinda of thought you were pretty awesome. Oh well.

Look, whatever- I was complaining (in the proper forum- no less) about a legitimate gripe. Mr. Mod comes in with the personal attacks he always brings- it has always been his first line of defense in everything I have ever seen ( I'm not saying always- but what I have seen) not complimentary of this site. I'm just calling him out.

This is a great site that you all have put in a lot of work- and you have really always been extremely awesome- but it was just frustrating to have a post deleted. The post was really about how it's weird that a cosmetic change really has a psychological effect on the riding experience. I wanted to talk about it. Sorry my humor didn't meet somebody's standards and they took the liberty of nuking it before I could share with anyone in what I thought was a community- which it's evidently not.

I don't care if you think I'm a dick or not, because I'm right. And if someone comes at me like he did- I have every right to come back at him.

I don't give a shit how you and Brian get along, and I didn't read that. You whined about unspecified issues.

Do you see anyone agreeing with you? Did you give an example? Did you even say what you were talking about? No. Just general comments picking on the 12 people who manage this site.

Don't complain about my club and I won't get pissed off.

so- I didn't specify/ give example because I didn't think I needed- which I didn't because Brian knew exactly what I was talking about.

And they weren't general comments- again Brian knew exactly what I was talking about.

Of course no one will agree- look what happens. But you'll find plenty of opinions on other forums.

And you said "couple" post, not first post, so I was assuming you were referring the posts below.

anyway this has run it's course and then some.

If I thought it was funny or useful, I would have deleted it. You want run things your way? Make your own site or find one that suits you better. You won't be first, you won't be last. We enjoy low traffic/volume of this enterprise. You don't have to.

...I enjoy this site and the wonderful moderators too much to make much of a fuss.

But if what Steve said was:
Quote:
...it's weird that a cosmetic change really has a psychological effect on the riding experience...

I could get on board with a topic like that, provided it was in Bike Talk or Off Topic, depending on how the original post went. I mean, I've made many purely cosmetic changes to my bike and I really enjoy riding my bike now that it's not the pile of junk it was when I bought it. Maybe I'm not getting the whole picture?

it was just frustrating to have a post deleted

Steve, I can understand that. I don't think I can go read the rest of the posts to see the whole story now but having a post deleted is probably VERY frustrating. It's just... the mods do work very hard to keep this site as enjoyable as possible for the people that come here to get away from signatures and stunting and whatnot, and ultimately post deletions are at their discretion. Calling them butt heads won't fix anything, but PMing one or two of them a nice question might have helped. Did you try that first?

Mods, when a post is deleted, does it tell the poster that the deletion was performed for a reason? It seems like the few times this has come up while I've been around the deletion causes a bit of confusion before the angry posting starts. Not that you all have time to babysit new posters, I know... but something automated, like a PM that says:
Quote:
This post has been deleted by the moderators because blah blah blah. PM us if you have issues, we don't hate you. Yet."
Smile

Thank you mods for doing such a great job keeping this place sane.
