lets form a 250 riding club on the east coast and ride.
Ive ridden with tons of riders, and 250 riders are the hardest to get together to ride. You guys are way busy with your lives
hopefully we can get together the following saturday as well for a all day ridE? |

Lets all try to stay in contact in this thread or email. I really would like to get some 250 riders together, im tired of riding with 600 and 1000 cc sportbikes. Not that i cant keep up in the twisties, its that they love doing alot of speed on the highway and i dont feel like riding highway or going that fast on the highway. |

Well i didnt take alot of photos. But here it goes. This is our destination after all the other guys left. Maybe you guys need to come here next time.
Hopefully we can do one of these late lunch rides. You know pick a place to eat, then ride, and ride and stop and eat and then ride some more?
beginning of the ride at point of rocks.. i was a little late
how cool is that, exact same bikes and colors except the exausts are different.
I estimate about 150 miles or so on this ride. We met at 4pm, so not quite the mileage as a day long ride. I know some of the riders this was their longest ride. But if we do day long rides, its going to be 500 miles.
I wouldnt not mind taking this group to the skyline drive, i think that would be a great time. taking a bunch of 250's for a nice job on top of that mountain.
We took off from POR and did some backroads up to Frederick, md where we continued and did route 77. For a while there was a porsche 911 in front of me, but i could tell he could not drive it since he just braked at every turn. Still nice to see a good car like that around. Even thou its way faster than my 250 , the ninja beats it in fun and economy. That is something these super car guys dont get.
Everyone rode really well, and you would think that most were riding for years. I think its important to be careful in riding in groups, it can bring out the worst in riders. Usually if the lead rider rides without thinking of the riders in the back that could be a recepe for disaster.
But one of the most memorable things was the guy that was shirtless at the gas station. I wish i took photos, but im sure he would kick my ass. Well, he was shirtless, what can i say. And walking around with a pit bull without a leech. Told us he took the dog after he gave a beat down onthe dogs ownerthat was abusing the dog. The guy looked pretty rough, he did look like he was in a couple of fights, and pretty muscular to boot. He became nuttier when he told us about a road that had taken alot of his friends lives. He said he rides it all the time, and he cant ge tenough of it, its so tough but he i think maxes out his bikes there. He was telling us to not go there, but suggest we go. Im not really sure, after a while i was just hoping he would go. I saw him walk into the distance with his pit bull behind him, and him constantly yelling out something i could not understand while sometimes running to the left of the dog and to the right.

MMmmmm southern part of the county. Delightfully tacky, yet unrefined. |
