Subject: day 1 of converting my 2004 to a streetfighter!

today i took off the upper and lower fairings and re-ran the turning signal lights up thru the empty pods. i was able to salvage the original bulbs and wires from the original turning signals. i cleaned up the wires with a couple of zip ties and flush cut the fender. im thinking about useing the scraps left over from the fender to mak the license plate holder tm. now i just need to get the front turning signals and ill be street legal again. ill get some daytime pics up soon:D

You're on the right path with the remote hosting, they just have to end with a .jpg extension

First, though, I hope you're planning on new tires real soon.

For images, this:

Taxes come in on Tuesday so maybe I'll get it done then if I can ever get my front turning signals mounted

What are you doing about the front of the bike? Hope it doesn't involve keeping the stock gauges. Will definitely work, but not terribly beautiful Very Happy

I have been shopping around for a new gauge set up and for the headlight I'm thinking of putting a 7" round on. I'm trying to keep the front end with a very clean look to it so I'm being picky about the next step. I fabricated the mounts for my front turn signals today and I'm going to try and get them mounted tonight. I'll put up some daylight pics tm. Until I can find a new gauge assembly and light I'm going to mount the existing setup to my forks so I can at least ride it again. I had alot of setbacks today it seems like nobody in GA carries headlights so I gota wait it seems. Any advice on how to go about the front end??

i know the mount stands out like a sore thumb on the front im going to paint it and resize the bushings i made for the turning signals later when its not raining. still lookin for a new headlight and gauges to replace the current set up but at least its cleaned up a bit. what do you think so far?

i fashioned the pannels on the sides of the headlight out of the scraps from the rear fender lol it's amazing what you can do with a dremel tool and some imagination right:D
