Subject: I can't spend any more money on booze this year..

I hope you all have good holidays and hopefully we'll have a short winter so I can get the new bike out.

I traded my truck for my buddies ZX6R and all I can think about is the spring so I can take it out. My dad asked me today what I was going to do with the 250 and I told him I wasn't sure yet. He told me he wants it so next season my dad is taking his MSF class and he's going to be able to ride with me. I'm super amped and that's pretty much the best thing so far this year to happen to me. If I had any extra cash I would get him some gear for Christmas but I'm kinda broke from school right now.

 Subject: That's really cool...

Now, I couldn't possibly imagine riding with MY dad, but I do other things with him (shoot, competitive shooting) and just the simple bonding is remarkable.

Down here in the SE, it;s supposed to be a long, cold an wet winter. But when your dad is taking MSF, you ought to plan on doing a track day to learn about YOUR limits on the 6R...

Subject: I'd really love to go to the California superbike school sometime.

I know it's a lot of bike, and I'm happy I learned on the 250 and I know it's going to take a lot to learn the 600.

Maybe I'll get to do a track day at road america sometime soon (it's the only track in our area)

To me it's just awesome because I don't really talk with my dad much and I think it's because we don't have much in common. I'm excited to be able to share my passions with someone that I love.

Today is hurting. That's what happens when old college friends come back to visit. It was worth it.

My friend and I were thinking of taking this advanced rider course (ARC-1) at RoadAmerica in Spring. We're both on 250-F's

Maybe if I make more money this semester than I expect I might be interested in this.

 Subject: Christmas Party

Went to a party at http://www.alaskaleatheronline.com/servlet/StoreFront last weekend that included a mead tasting. It was delicious! It's our 3rd meadery in Anchorage. If you've tried it and didn't like it, I encourage you to try it again from someone who makes different types. I was very impressed with the 3 samples at our tasting. Have fun and Happy Holidays from way up north, Mark H.
