Re: Insurance Options

I have been looking around for a new motorcycle insurance since my fiance just bought himself a new bike. One thing you want to remember or ask for is what if someone else rides the bike, will it be covered? What if you are riding someone else's bike, will you be covered. What are your limits? If you own a home, it is a good idea to get high limits in case someone sues you for everything you have. Also, uninsured motorist insurance is a good thing to get in case someone hits you and they do not have insurance. If you don't have unisured motorist, your insurance company will not cover you.

I am with Progressive and think I am paying too much. I got a quote from McGraw that was dirt cheap, but when I questioned the premium, it didn't have unisured motorist which doubled the premium. It is still cheaper than Progressive, but if my fiance rides my bike, it and he are not covered if he gets into an accident. Right now I pay a little over $300 for a 250 Nighthawk for a year.
