A $100. cancellation charge on a $267. policy sounds to me like a royal scam; classic bait and switch. I'd go back to the agent and demand he make up the difference from his own pocket; if he won't, announce that you will take him to small claims court, and file a report with the BBB. Then contact your state insurance commisioner, and complain to him. In short, make their lives as miserable as you can until they treat you fairly.
