Progressive tried that same crap with me...After I paid in full ($126.00 Liability only for a full year), they sent me a letter telling me my policy had changed, adding in Comp and Collision (Not necessary to have, nice but not necessary none the less). I spent about 3 months of cancellations, re-instatements, etc, etc... until they finally got it straight - Liability ONLY, no extras. Now when they send me ANYTHING, I read every little detail just to make sure the fine print doesn't carry a $350.00 charge with it!
Progressive has the best rates for MC insurance, atleast in AZ, so maybe they feel like they can screw with your policy whenver they want. You'd be better off keeping the policy and just forcing them to change it back to what you originally asked for in coverages...When the term is up, shop somewhere else...Geico isn't too bad on rates either...
