Re: Wait 'til you use WOT (wide open throttle) and 13k shift points.

I like the 250 a lot, but I think some people might be just a tad bit bias, on this board. The Katana has been around for a long time, and my opinion it's a little outdated. But you have to remember different strokes for different folks.A GSXR 1000 is basically the king of superbike and the sportbike world and it weighs more than the 250 but I'm not sure you will hear anybody describing that bike as a pig. Sometimes weight is accompanied by stability. If you are knee draggin, any of the 600s R6,RR,GSXR or ZXR will feel much more stable than the 250 in a HOT turn. The 250 feels flickable but your comparing basically a small standard bike to sportbikes, and in Traffic power can save your life. I personally have a Hayabusa and a 250R I bought for Steph(fiance). But I'm an older guy and have had several bikes>16 different ones in the last 24yrs. I find the people who laugh at somebody with a 250 don't understand motorcycling, and are usually squids who have insecurity issues. It doesn't matter what you ride as long as you like it, No bike is perfect and does it all, and would you even want a bike that was? I think it would lack character and be boring. In my opinion the 250 is a great bike. But please don't compare Apples and Oranges. Just enjoy what you got while you can next year it may be a different bike, just have fun.
