That will change you perspective one way or another.
The track I went to, had only one long straight. More powerfull bikes had no problems out accelerating me there. Not until we had a track walk, and one of the racers explained that a perfect entrance/exit to/from the last corner adds 10-15hp to your bike, and he shown us the markers to shoot for.
After next session, at a break time, one guy (that out powered me on the straight) told me that he couldn't do so for several laps, until I got behind slow riders and screwed entrance to the last corner. He couldn't believe when I told him I was on Ninja250
And I couldn't believe that he wasn't able to pass me on the straight for several laps!
Same way, a 13 years old boy on a 125cc bike was laping 15-20 seconds faster than me. Those 2 strokers are smelly beasts!
It is all about rider... you can make your bike to go fast. Just need to learn how.
