Re: Some info from Shell's own website on high octane fuel

in addition you can read this website's info or this ones or even this and this oh and let's not forget this other one, and about a bizzillion others you can google for.

bottom line is, do some research of your own. make the choice you feel is correct and go with it! Mr. Green

if you cruise around town never getting above 8,000 rpm go with low...
if you bounce off the rev limiter in 100 deg weather go with... well maybe standard premium pump gas isnt good enough for you :)

all i'm saying is try them out, do the butt dyno, monitor you milage, is it peppier with fuel A or fuel B? do you ride in such away you need peppier? is your bike bone stock or is it modified? maybe you only need the higher octane for your weekend warrior adventures and for your 9-5 days you can ride with the lower version.

i can tell you what i think my bike prefers but that's me and my bike. she likes a certain station's gas and a certain octane. i've tried other stations and other octanes and she runs sluggish and starts missing like she's running lean or something... but again that's my bike on this island under my riding style with all the modifications i've done. and with the same fuel she likes here she may run completely different where you are... who knows?

i dont ride my bike to save fuel or resources or the environment or anything for any other reason than i love riding. if i wanted to do that i would get a bicycle. last time i checked i live in AMERICA where i am free to drive my 400hp 1979 pontiac trans am at the track or down the highway, ride my 1994 kawasaki ninja 250 up the mountain or back and fourth to work or drive my 1991 toyota 4x4 off road or to the store. buying whatever i want to run them on. i will not, nor will i, stand for anyone else telling me how or what i can do with my life.
