Re: wheelie

The only way I know of that you can do a wheel stand in 2nd gear is if you run 1st up into double digit RPMs, then shift to second as quickly and smoothly as possible and roll on the throttle full force immediately after the shift while leaning back suddenly (but not sharply) on the bike and pulling back slightly on the grips. The wheel shouldn't come up more than about 8-10 inches though and it won't stay up for very long either. The best way to do it would be to just let out 1st gear slowly up to about 5k+ RPMs and then follow the same procedure as before.....roll on the throttle hard while leaning back and pulling slightly. in this case the wheel should come up much farther and if executed correctly, you may even be able to hold it through the shift to 2nd.....but I wouldn't recommend it, as the bike may lunge just enough to throw your balance and....*CRASH*!! Just be safe! Ninja 250s are known for their light weight but I promise that 325 LBS doesn't feel "light" when it's laying on top of you! Practice in a parking lot or somewhere big enough to gain speed, but without cars around!
