hey, if you are going to be @ your brother in law's house... how about we go for a short ride in the Tacoma area. I went with my friend David for a 2 hr ride today but it was all in traffic. Visited Hinshaw Honda. They have a nice 954RR 03- brand new for what you would pay for a 600rr.
I did something terribly squiddly today. I'm up near 800mi on my bike now, so I wanted to stretch it's legs a bit. I was going from Valley Hwy up onto the 167 somewhere near Milton. David was behind me on his new F4i with about 80 new miles. I got on the ramp and let the motor go up to around 10k, shifted into 2nd and looked down- I was going 92mph and I still had space left on the on ramp. This bike is sooo smooth. David said that my bike sounded like a different bike after I started to take off. Tells me that my bike has a low roar throughout the powerband... not a high pitched whine. Also said that it looked like I had afterburners....he couldn't keep up on his 600. As I said, this bike is soooo smooth. Much different bike when I jump on the gas. But very tame when I'm just cruising or putzing around town. I can see how come this is considered a "superbike".
