if you are riding around

then it would be best to meet in cape breton - since going to halifax will add another 200km on the trip (100km off route to CB - twice)

Coming from the boat means you pull in - we eat - rest and prepare for the ride to CB. Get to CB, have supper, relax. The next day ride the trail.

Coming from the land bridge - go straight to CB, I'll meet you there with any boat people, ride the trail, the day after you pull off your marathon. :)

It is by far cheaper to take the boat - I just didn't fancy taking on 10 hours on a trip that was already long by my standards. Definately have to work my way up to Iron butt. :)

(In any event - I'll offer shelter, local knowledge, basic food/beer, use of limited tools, access to full garage at my folks.)
