If you are good enough, you could probably wheelie anything. If you
can get it to that special balance point, you don't need torque. Me,
I've lost any ability to wheelie that I've ever had, so I don't do it.
Like you said, it is VERY hard on the bike if you slam down a lot.
And they are making some very high HP cars these days so don't
be too surprised if you lose. I hate Fords too. For me, it was the
whole Ford SUV rollo-over thing, how they blamed Firestone. The
bottom-line is that cars shouldn't roll over if their tires blow. I
had a back tire blow on my VW squareback a long time ago and
I thought a train was coming because of the very loud noise,
but the car didn't even twitch.
