Re: try State Farm, they insure based on displacement

A little update (and some more help needed).
I called a friends insurance company and asked about dairyland, they said they don't go through them anymore and reccommended a place that is a sub of Farmers insurance.

This is where I get confused.
They offered the following policies:

1. 20/40/15 only for $95/year
2. 20/40/15 with uninsured motorist 20/40/15 for $314/year.

I'm really insurance illiterate. If anyone is more familiar with insurance coverage here?s what I?d like in layman terms.

Basic liability, theft coverage (is this covered in basic?) and maybe uninsured motorists. Anything else?

One more, I was told if I take the MSF course I?d get a discount but she didn?t mention how much. Any idea how much of a discount most places offer?

Thanks again in advance for everyone?s help. It?s making things much easier.
