500 mile service complete (completely)

Well I drained the oil again so I could take the filter out and put the cap on it and then
filled it back up with oil. So the oil change is finally done right. I also found out
where my rubber grommet came from. There are 2 pegs by the bottom corners of the headlight
that match up with 2 holes inside the front fairing. It was out of one of those.

Well, after I got that all tidied up I headed off for a ride. The engine runs much, much
better. It sounds smoother. The power used to really surge at about 8k and 10k, but now
it just pulls smoothly all the way up. For anyone who's been putting off their 500 mile
service, get it done. Soon. Not only will your bike thank you, but you will thank you.

Entranced by the new purr of my motor,
G
