As for the tires....I ride on the stock ones in the twisties with no problems at all. Whenever I can find a good excuse to buy new tires I'm gonna switch to Sport Demons, but until then the stockers are fine for my own needs. Ultimately it's not gonna be the tires that might ruin a new rider, but the riders' skills. As another poster said, a lot of motorcycling is dependant on the riders' maturity and responsibility level. Even the little Ninjette will kill you in a big hurry if you're not a safe rider.
