| ahhh very simple fix |
i think you were contemplating it without looking at the bike. i'll try to help describe the photo, which is a terrible one.
the brake spring connects to the brake lever, at the bottom, and at the top, at that little bar, as in your pic. but in my pic, the bar is attached to a little black unit, which is the REAR BRAKE electrical switch device. then another, smaller spring, which you can see in the pic, triggers the switch itself. but the big spring can't fall off at all when you've mounted up the rear brake switch to it.

since you aren't using the brake switch box, you could use a washer instead (n/t) — crash, Thu May 01, 2008 9:22 am
