The gears from the 2006-2007 fit the new bike

The stock chain can be used from 14/45- stock to 15/40
15/43 is my favorite all around gear 15/40 still feels good acceleration wise

the 15/40 is for a lot of highway riding.1000 rpm =10 mph so 10,000 rpm was 98 mph on my gps system.

Riding along at 7000 rpm is just over 70 mph with the 15/43
and riding along at 7000 with the 15/41 is just under 70 on the speedo.

I use Alloy sprockets because they are lighter. don't think it matters
