I went to the track day on this past Sunday with two members from the SV board and posted this in the report there, and thought I would share my pictures here. I had my first crash in the second session of the day. I had a nice low slide in turn 9. Still not sure exactly what I did. The rear just washed out... Bike came out excellent. Minor rash on exhaust. Ground down foot peg and clipon bar, and bent the brake lever. Fortunately I had a spare lever so after some wrenching I was able to get back out for another couple of sessions. My gear fared well. Helmet needs replacement because it touched down enough that I had a personal fire work display inside my helmet. My gloves held up, one spot on the palm that holds in the padding protection had the stitching rip, but still usable. Sidis have some minor rash on the sliders. And my leathers have some minor rashing on elbow and shoulder.
The only thing that hurt on me at first was my back. The strange thing is I went down on my right side, and a pain developed in my left wrist. It became so bad that Rich and Teri had to load my bike up for me (thanks again). By the time I drove home I couln't use my left hand at all, any movement caused extreme pain, and my fingers were turning blue and cold. I decided to go to minor emergency thinking it was broken. Turns out it was a bad sprain and my back has deep bruising. So... all is well, other than I am typing with one hand
Hopefully I will make the 6th or 7th dates next month. On a positive note, I did get my personal best laps at 1:48. And, I know posts are useless without pictures:
