I took the ol' Ninjette II out on Friday evening as Tropical Storm Ike was going to make a mess of north Texas riding on Saturday. So to answer your question: with my modified final drive the bike will "redline" at about 40 MPH in first and about 60 MPH in second.
25 to 30 MPH is clearly a little more relaxed but more typical. The 38T in the rear does allow freeway entry in a hurry with only the first to second shift and up to Interstate speeds, if needed, in third. Not bad IMHO. Hope this is the info you wanted.
