| Earphones as earplugs |
I saw some threads here with people debating about the best ways to listen to music. I just ordered a pair of Sennheiser CX-300 earphones, but not so I could play music. I just wanted to see how much earplug-style passive noise reduction I could get out of them. I have trouble getting a good fit with foam plugs in my right ear, so something that can be pushed in more assertively might work better for me.
If I had nothing but money I'd get Etymotic ER-4Ps, at $180. The Sennheisers are $22 and are favorably reviewed as far as noise reduction is concerned.
One day I might actually hook the earphones to something, but that's a different experiment.
