Tall rider suffering from tank shape and small bike

Hey all,

I'm 6'4", and in particular, I'm mostly legs (38" inseam). The 250 is a pretty small bike, but I've made due for the most part. The one issue where I really have trouble, however, is in shifting or using the rear brake and keeping the bike squeezed with my legs. My lower-leg is fits under the tank grooves if my toe is on the peg, but when I bring my foot forward to cover the rear brake or footpeg my knee is forced to pop up from under the tank. This in turn means I have to squeeze the outside corner of the tank which is both ineffective and uncomfortable. Under heavy braking or sudden shifting I momentarily have to transfer my bodyweight forward while I move my knees, making me pretty unstable.

The other problem is that when doing low-speed tight-radius maneuvers, I like to use the rear brake to stabilize the bike. If I try to make a full-lock right turn, however, I get the handlebars and my throttle hand caught up against my right knee (since it raises up when my foot is on the right brake). For the moment I've had to adjust my riding style so that I regulate speed entirely with clutch control...

In every other respect I love the bike, and I don't want to go bigger (for gas mileage, insurance, cost, etc.). Does anybody know of either:
