| "Ran out of gas" twice today... |
No I'm at 125 miles.. can't tell for sure how far the fuel level is from 'the hump' in the middle of the tank inside.. it is probably 1 1/2 to 2inches below it.. tough to tell from the top but there is definately a decent amount of fuel in there..
At 115 miles, I was at a light and noticed the bike not wanting to rev.. sounded odd.. so it stalled and that was it.. moved it to the reserve and she fired up.. then I put it back on the "On" position to see what would happen and it was fine until about 125 miles.. same thing happened.. stalled.. moved to reserve to start and then put it back to "on". Drove home another mile or so like that without issue.. I checked and cleaned the stock fuel filter (it was fine but just to be sure). There is a filter on hte petcock, right? I dont think that it is replaceable without replacing the whole assembly, but is it serviceable? Does this sound right? I should be able to get another 50 miles out of this tank.. but this "reserve" to "on" thing is weird.
The bike rides awesome. There are no driveability issues, and besides this quirky thing there arent any issues that I know of.
Any ideas?
