Yep. That's what people are complaining about; the 2008-09s have nowhere near as good of mileage as the older 250s. I ride my 2008 in a variety of conditions, but I don't think I ride the throttle hard. I get 45 to 48 in the city, and considerably better on the open highway - but even that is only 58 mpg at the best.
