| those type of earplugs never work for me |
They don't block noise as well as disposable ones and, what worse, easily lose airtight seal and create even more annoying oscillating noise. And I know I am not alone, some people like those type of earplugs and they work for them well, others have exactly the same problem as I do. YMMV
