Be aware that if you run past 10k for extended periods of time you're going to push oil out of the crankcase breather and into the airbox. So check your oil level frequently if running the engine over 10k.
FWIW, I had my '01 show 90 indicated before too. That was all it had, but I'm also 6'4" (weight has no bearing on top speed, but I was near 280 at the time).
