I'm 5'8 and 150, it will do 100 - 105 with me tucked down. I don't have a problem maintaining 80 sitting up on the highway. And by all means, wear ear plugs for that.
There is nothing wrong with going over 60 for an extended period. Before the boredom wore me down, I used to ride 2.5 hours on a highway somewhat regularly at 75 to 80 with no problems. Now I use a longer route that takes 4 hours, but isn't a monotonous straight line. Trade-offs.
