Track day was a blast

We got there around 7:15 unloaded the bike, cooler, tools, parts, and all my gear. At about 7:50 there came an announcement "all novice riders meet in the classroom with your leathers on" So I put on my leathers and boots and walked over.

Then explained to us all of the safety rules and procedures, the different flags, getting on and off procedures, and what we would be doing on our first couple of laps. It was just a follow the leader type laps. ~50mph around the track behind the instructor. There were 3 instructors so my group had 4 people in it. We did that for a few laps just to familiarize our selves with the track. Then we came in.

Back up to the classroom, they explained the procedures for passing, our rule was on the outside only, and it was the faster riders responsibility to let the slower rider keep there line.

Now we hit the track in groups of 7 with 2 control riders. The control riders had video cameras on there bikes and would film each of us for about 5 minutes then move on to the next rider. Back in the class room they critiqued our body positions and the track lines that we were taking. Then we went back out and did it all again.

A few sessions later we had lunch, the BBQ was good, it was also nice to sit in the AC of the class room for more than 20 minutes.

Back out for 4-5 more sessions after lunch. All in all it was some of the most fun that I have had on the bike. There was another 250 out there, she was on an 09. So the instructors showed us different lines that would be faster on the 250s. On the track in turns 3 -11 I was never passed but in the others the 600s and 1ks would just fly around. I even was able to pass a CBR600 and a R1 in the back of the track.

All in all it was an absolute blast, I would highly recommend Jennings novice day to anyone who is with in 9 hours of here and wants to do a track day. It was a blast.

Pictures will be posted on Tuesday

I would say that the Diablo scoots preformed very well
