How do you know you filled the tank?
I've seen people here complain abou only getting 160 miles on a tank and it turn out that they just pumped in fuel until the pump shut off. To really fill the tank you have to trickle fuel in until it comes to the bottom of the fill tube. From there to reserve is about 4 gallons (US).
Right now I'm at 220 miles on my current tank full and no sign of needing reserve yet (but I suspect it won't be long before I do)
