I feel somewhat as you do about buying Apple products. I bought the stock instead. Hopefully this puts me on the profitable side of the rape-and-pillage equation.
It's not worth the price, but the iPod is a nice unit, for what it does. My major problem with Apple product lines is summed up in this little note from the iJet product description:
"This iJet model is only compatible with the following iPod models 3rd GEN, 4th GEN mini and photo, and 5th GEN video"
High prices, planned obsolescence, inability to play well with others. That's Apple. But the stock keeps going up.
Anyway, I'm also looking for answers to the broader question: what do you gain, and what do you lose, by playing music when riding?
