Fees!

Is that $129 to title, get plate(s) and register a bike or is it the yearly fee?

In NJ it's $65 every year just to renew the registration. According to google it's $24 in Utah. I know it's only $18 in PA.

I did a little research myself, as I wouldn't have been able to sleep tonight if I thought I paid too much.

According to the Utah State DMV site, I must pay the following for my 2007 Ninja:

$42.50 Registration Fee (same fee for all motorcycles for 2011)
$70.00 Uniform Fee (based on the year of my Ninja)
$5.00 Education Fee (even though it costs $180 to take the MSF course)
$1.00 Uninsured Motorist Education Fee

then some other additional usage county taxes making it total the $129.00.

Hey this is better than the almost $350 they wanted me to pay last year to register my wife's 150cc scooter. After contacting them, it turns out that they had mistakenly entered the scooter as a 1500cc, and they adjusted the fee for a 150cc.
