I am excited to announce that this year's GRR Awards will be held at
the Ryan's house (ithaca00) in the lovely state capital, Sacramento,
CA. Ryan's house is a spacious and retro house, with plenty of floor
space, a nice backyard with a pool, and a garage area where we can
store most of our bikes.
GRR Awards attendees will be able to camp (bring your tents, rvs -
street parking only) or floor space is available in the house. If you
prefer more "upscale" accommodations, we will be posting info about
nearby motels shortly.
Dinner will be available Friday evening at the Ryan's, as well as a
BBQ on Saturday for Ryan's Birthday and the GRR Awards Presentation.
We will post Saturday's ride route shortly, but I can promise it to
live up to the standards of the rest of the awesome roads in our fine
state. We will be eating lunch at a restaurant during the ride on
Saturday.
On Sunday morning we will cook up a tasty breakfast at Ryan's before
goodbyes and the rides home.
So here's how accommodations work; it is first come, first serve based
on sending a $10 food deposit via PayPal, to
teknokruncher-at-gmail-dot-com. If any of you sent me a deposit for
the previous location, but can't make it to the new location and need
a refund, I will be happy to send one to you.
Please note either here on this post or in a note with your paypal
payment whether you plan on camping or staying on the floor at Ryan's.
If you plan on staying at the nearby hotel or elsewhere, please let me
know, and also let me know whether or not you'll be eating dinners
with us at Ryan's.
PLEASE REMEMBER - Send PayPal as 'personal' payment so I don't get hit
with a service charge.
As we get the list, then we'll post the names here who have paid a
deposit. There is more than enough camping space available at Ryan's -
so priority isn't so big of a concern there - but please send money
anyways, it helps me with getting all the food beforehand. There will
probably be enough floor space for whoever wants it, but what space
there is will be dolled out based on the sign-up list below.
This is going to be the most epic and probably most affordable GRR
ever - so I hope all y'all can make it!
