newer carbs on older ninja question

hey everyone, im working on a 250 for a friend its a 89, the bikes nice, but someone messed with the carbs, tired to jet it for a pipe and k&n, they lost alot of the orings, and long story short, i would rather buy a new set for him , i found alot of newer sets of carbs 2001-2007, the set im looking at buyying are off a 2004 ninja 250, did the carbs ever change year to year?
