|Higher Altitude Issue |
re-jeting mid-rally is not an option that I would take, there are too many other things that need to be done.
I did experience a little hard starting in Eastern Arizona and Colorado. I think changing the pilot jet would fix that. The starting wasn't so bad that I'll actually make that change. A little throttle at start up was all it needed.
The power/fuel consumption issues are at WFO.
I've melted an exhaust valve using the current stock set-up. coming out of White Sands NM on US70 at the top of the long climb up the mountain. as a result I am concerned about melting valves at lower altitudes. Do the after market needles provide better midrange fuel flow, which might reduce the valve melting chances?
